Raining In New York

It’s raining in New York.
The weather was bad but I had to go home.
And now she is alone.
I read her letter late last night
And I could hear the teardrops fall.
The sky may be clear and bright
But it’s raining in New York.

A world so perfect yet far away.
Eventually, there was nothing left to say.
We both know why I had to leave.
Unspoken words saying what we didn’t want to believe.

My heart aches for you.
Lonely days and nights pass by so slow.
But we both know there was no other way.
Baby, forever in my heart you will grow.

And it’s raining in New York.
The weather was bad but I had to go home.
And now she is alone.
I read her letter late last night
And I could hear the teardrops fall.
The sky may be clear and bright
But it’s raining in New York.

One day, I will return,
Better, and not the same, as I was then.
Dry your tears and I will dry mine.
Love knows no dividing line.

Tonight, it’s raining in New York.
The sky seems cloudy and it’s raining in New York.
But dry your tears, my love,
And I will dry mine.
Our love knows no dividing line.
The sun again will shine
And my heart will always be yours
And your heart will always be mine.
